Aniya's Trials (Sith Inquisitor part 1)

The story begins...

Pulled from the slave pens, Aniya is forced into the Korriban Academy to either become Sith or die. And it seems that almost everyone wants to ensure it is the latter...

(Aniya's comments and more bellow the cut)

From Aniya's diary...

Ok, when I said I hated being a slave and would rather be anywhere else than working under that sadistic fat creep, I didn't really mean it! Or if I did, "anywhere" wasn't supposed to include "in the Sith academy and slated to die in useless trials to please the even more sadistic Sith". Really!
If I had known it could end like this, I would have been more careful about shocking those annoying insects!

---

When I tried to persuade the Inquisitor, I was absolutely terrified, but then... Alif was an unlucky acolyte just like me. It easily could have been me. And after having to watch the only person here who was nice to me die... I wanted to do something. To at least try. And maybe I was just a little pissed off by the Sith. They may want me dead, but at least I'm not going to play by their rules.
And, when I'm at it, why not have some fun at their expense? It's a small victory, but what else can I get here? And, at the same time, what do I have to lose, if I'm to die anyway?
(I just hope I won't find out in some especially nasty way... so just in case some higher power is listening, that wasn't a real question!)

I thought I was a dead man after I testified against Essor Kayin. Not many acolytes can rat out a Dark Council member's apprentice and live to tell about it. But I'm still breathing. I figure I have you to thank for that.

I don't know what you said to Inquisitor Zyn, but it worked. He helped me lie low in the Academy until he could ship me off to Dromund Kaas. Now I'm apprenticing to some crotchety old Darth (sorry, no names!). She's a tyrant, but at least she's not trying to kill me. Yet.

Anyway, I owe you one.

So much has happened in such a short time!
I guess I should be happy or at least relieved. I'm still alive and as an apprentice I should have slightly better chance at survival than as an acolyte. Hopefully! And Lord Zash is actually nice. But... the monster scares me and as much fun it is to use it against other Sith, I don't want to get eaten myself. How can I get rid of it? And what the heck is the business with that Scotia and why does he want me dead?
I have a bad feeling about this...

Subject: The gift of Spindrall

I apologize for sending you this message uninvited, my lord, but I do so only to fulfill my bargain with the hermit of the tomb--the one called Spindrall.

He said that I could only leave his sight alive if I passed along this, his "final gift for the one who will shape fates both future and ancient."

Those were his words, his exact words. I had to be exact.
